After years of development, the Gallery is taking a new direction. For this new chapter, Laurent Rigail continues as the sole director of the gallery, now known as Galerie Laurent Rigail. This evolution follows on naturally from the previous partnership, remaining faithful to the spirit that has guided the gallery since his first encounter with Éric Brugier in 2001: the recognition and promotion of engaged contemporary artists, attentive support for collectors, and an active presence on the art scene throughout fairs, exhibitions, and cultural projects. Before becoming a gallerist, Laurent Rigail was a collector. He thus advocates a sincere and rigourous approach to art. He upholds a strong artistic direction shaped by personal conviction; giving precedence to meaningful, energetic and unique artworks and artists. His perspective, built over more than two decades, continues to guide the gallery with harmony and individualism.Formerly named Galerie Brugier-Rigail, it carved out a strong aesthetic identity bridging urban and contemporary scenes in the gallery landscape. This direction was notably built around 1980s urban art pioneers, such as Miss.Tic, Speedy Graphito, Jérôme Mesnager, Robert Combas, or Guy Denning, as well as international figures like Shepard Fairey, JonOne, and John Matos Crash. Moreover, the gallery also consistently showed support to emerging artists who are now eminent: Levalet, MadC, L’Atlas, Monkeybird, M. Chat, etc. This ongoing dialogue between both generations remains at the heart of Laurent Rigail’s project. In addition to its artistic program, Galerie Laurent Rigail stands out by providing a tailored approach to its collectors, grounded in expertise, knowledge, and a clearly stated commitment to transparency. Trust-based relationships, education, and customised guidance are essential pillars to the gallery’s practice. This new phase marks a turning point for the gallery, honoring its heritage while embracing renewed ambition. Laurent Rigail intends to continue and deepen the artistic project that has defined the gallery’s singular identity and recognition for more than twenty years. The gallery is a member of the Comité des galeries d’art.
