Among the characteristic landscape of contemporary art galleries, the Galerie Brugier-Rigail has a unique artistic and aesthetic line. At once urban and contemporary, this gallery created in 2001 is modelled on its two founders. Éric Brugier and Laurent Rigail, both art lovers, started as collectors before being gallerists. They only represent artists and pieces they like, and are used to support young artists they find promising. As they both had their first artistic crushes during their youth, the aesthetic line of the gallery naturally took an “old school” path, presenting the pioneers of urban art from the 80’s. Miss Tic, Speedy Graphito, or Robert Compas and Guy Denning are the French names presented. For the international artists, its Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), JonOne, or John Matos Crash that can be admired. Nevertheless, the two collectors never stopped imbuing with contemporary and urban artistic novelties, and are on the lookout for any curiosity. Therefore, they support young artists such as Levalet, Nasty, MadC, L’Atlas, Monkeybird or M. Chat. But not only they support their artists, Éric Brugier and Laurent Rigail also dedicate themselves to inform and guide customers and collectors. Expertise, experience, and ethical transparency are called for.
